Become a Member of the Friends of Reach Out and Read® Kansas City

Please help make those early years count for as many children as possible!

As a Friend of ROR-KC you will receive invitations to special events, quarterly newsletters, and the satisfaction of knowing you are making a real and lasting difference in a child’s life.

As a Friend of ROR-KC you may wish to help us in one of the following ways:

  • Become a volunteer reader.
  • Volunteer for a special event.
  • Join the ROR-KC Speaker's Bureau.
  • Help select books for children.
  • Sort, mark & distribute books.
  • Participate in fund-raising events.
  • Sponsor a "Friends" house-party.

Membership to the Friends of ROR-KC group are $25 for individuals, $40 for families and $100 for organizations. Additional contributions are welcome. If you or your group would like additional information about Friends of ROR-KC, please email: reachoutandread@kumc.edu

What Your Support Can Accomplish:

$25 - Provide the first board book for five babies.

$60 - Provide a complete library of 12 books for a child from birth to five years of age.

$180 - Provide books for a family with three kids.

$1,000 - Provide books for an entire clinic for one year.

$2,500 - Help us start up a new site, and provide the gift of reading to a new pediatric community.
